Our story
A candy-striped playground for grown-up gamers
Kurevanox started in 2017 when two ex-arcade technicians took over a former ice-cream parlour on Oxford Street and refused to strip out the scalloped awning. Today those pastel stripes wrap around 62 machines, four VR bays and a mezzanine board-game library that locals treat as a second lounge room.
Everything is pay-by-time, not pay-per-coin, so a $18 hour buys unlimited free play across the whole floor. Our team keeps every cabinet tournament-tuned, restocks the snack bar with Melbourne-roasted sodas, and hosts a packed calendar of pinball leagues, retro nights and launch parties.

Reserve a two-hour slot online or drop by Wednesday to Sunday. Walk-ins are welcome until the floor fills — weekends after 7pm book out fast.

Tap on at the counter for unlimited free play. Standard passes are $18/hour, or go all-night with the $55 Sunset-to-Close band.

Roam 62 cabinets, claim a VR bay, or borrow any of 400 board games. Our floor crew will happily teach the rules or reset a stubborn joystick.

Climb the leaderboard
Log your scores on the house cabinet and we'll seed you into the monthly ladder. Top three each season play the finals for a year of free entry.

Everything you need before your first visit to Oxford Street.
Visiting
We're open Wednesday to Friday from 4pm until midnight, and Saturday to Sunday from midday until 1am. We're closed Monday and Tuesday for maintenance and cabinet restoration. Public holiday hours are posted at the door.
Walk-ins are always welcome and make up most of our weeknights. That said, Friday and Saturday evenings after 7pm regularly sell out, so we strongly recommend booking a two-hour slot online if you're coming on a weekend.
You'll find us at 86 Oxford Street, Collingwood, a five-minute walk from the Smith Street trams and Collingwood Station. Street parking is metered until 8pm, and there's a paid lot on Peel Street around the corner.
Pricing & play
Everything is pay-by-time rather than pay-per-game. A standard wristband is $18 per hour for unlimited free play across all cabinets and the board-game library. VR bays are $28 per hour per bay, and our Sunset-to-Close pass is $55.
Under-18s are welcome until 7pm every day when accompanied by an adult, and we have a dedicated all-ages cabinet row. After 7pm the venue becomes 18+ as the licensed bar opens. Family passes for up to four are $50 per hour.
Absolutely — your wristband covers unlimited borrowing from the 400-title library with no deposit and no time limit. Our game guides are on the floor to recommend something for your group and teach the rules if it's new to you.
Events & private hire
Yes. Our mezzanine hosts up to 40 guests with full floor access, and we can cater through partner kitchens on Smith Street. Private hire starts at $600 for three hours; get in touch and we'll tailor a package.
We run pinball ladders, fighting-game brackets and retro speedruns most weeks. Entry is $15 and includes an hour of open play. Register at the counter or online — spots are capped at 32 players and fill quickly.
